
Matthew J. Seamon, Esq., PharmD, is of counsel to the firm of Fuerst Humphrey Ittleman where he practices in the area of Food and Drug Law. Dr. Seamon works with a variety of clients on matters involving the regulation by federal and state authorities of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, veterinary medicines, dietary supplements, and medical devices. Dr. Seamon has also represented clients with legal and regulatory concerns involving biologics and human cell, tissues and cellular and tissue-based products (HCT/Ps).
Dr. Seamon graduated from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to attending law school, he earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and completed a Drug Information Specialized Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Seamon currently is an Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy where he teaches pharmacy law and serves as second vice-chair elect of the University’s Institutional Review Board. He is a licensed pharmacist.
Augmenting his legal background, Dr. Seamon has practiced in clinical research, the pharmaceutical industry, community pharmacy, and institutional pharmacy practice. He has published and presented works focusing on FDA regulation, drug safety, and healthcare policy.
Dr. Seamon was born in Queens, New York and raised on Long Island. He currently resides in Davie, Florida.
